The organ of St. Maximin
Masterpiece of the Dominican brother Jean Esprit Isnard, the organ of the royal basilica of Saint-Maximin la Sainte-Baume, built from 1772 to 1774, is one of the very few great European instruments
having preserved the whole of its 2960 original pipes.
Unique in its conception as well as in its execution, this instrument, known by organists throughout the world, is considered by all as a genial achievement in organ building.
